On Saturday 6th May, 2023, the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla Shand took place in London. I spent two days on The Mall, the avenue that leads to Buckingham Palace, chatting with the people who were there. These "Royal watchers", as they are called, came from all over the world to witness this historic event. Some of them even camped there for several days, so as not to miss the procession of the Golden Coach and the appearance of the Royal Family on the balcony. I was there too and I had a lot of fun taking photos of "those who waited" *. Thank you all for these amazing moments.
Le 6 mai 2023 a eu lieu le couronnement du roi Charles III et de la reine consort Camilla Shand, à Londres. J'ai passé deux jours sur The Mall, l'avenue qui mène à Buckingham Palace, à discuter avec les gens qui étaient là. Ces "Royal watchers", c'est comme cela qu'on les appelle, sont venus des quatre coins du monde pour assister à cet événement historique. Certains ont même campé sur place pendant plusieurs jours, pour ne pas rater le passage du carrosse et l'apparition de la famille royale au balcon. J'y étais moi aussi et j'ai pris beaucoup de plaisir à photographier "ceux qui attendaient" **. Merci à tous pour ces moments incroyables.
